Interfaces with SAP
SAP interfacing is one of my main domains of expertise. During many implementations I gathered in-depth knowledge of using various interfacing techniques as well as using different middleware systems.
The list below shows the interfaces I was responsible for and the technology which was used to accomplish them:
- Production Control System interface in culinary division of Nestle Poland
Close to real time interface based on IDOC and BAPI technology via SAP Business Connector. It includes GI, GR postings, closing Cotrol Recipes and stock synchronization in PSA on WM layer.
- Stoppage Analisys Module interface in Nestle factories
Interface based on BAPI technology via SAP Business Connector. It features time ticket reporting and closing Control Recipe.
- MES interface in InBev Ukraine
Interfaced based on BAPI technology, direct connection to SAP server. It allowes creation of Process Orders, releasing, reporting GI and GR, time ticket reporting and stock reporting. SAP process messages are used.
- MES interface in InBev Belgium
BAPI technology via XI was used here to design the interface with PP-PI and PM functionalities. PP-PI: Creation of Process Orders, GI and GR reporting, time ticket reporting, closing Control Recipe. PM: creation of notification and work order.
- Planning system interface in InBev Luxembourg and InBev Belgium
Interface with Manugistics planning system based on BAPI and IDOC technology via XI. It reads planned orders from SAP and sent them back after sequencing in Manugistics.
- Scheduling system interface in InBev Russia
Interface which links excel sheet with SAP via XI using BAPI technology. It reads existing planned orders from SAP and after sequencing in excel it creates Production Orders in SAP.
- Scheduling system interface in InBev Belgium
Interface based on BAPI and IDOC technology via XI with AS Infor scheduling system. Functionality includes planned orders / process orders reading from / writing to SAP.
- PM mobile inspection interface in ArcelorMittal (template solution for Europe)
Interface which links SAP with Windows Mobile based PDA device. Details of Work Orders (including Measurement Points info) are sent to PDA device. Inspection round is executed off-line (operator registers inspection results on the PDA). When PDA device is connected, inspection results are sent to SAP – measurement documents and time confirmations are posted. This interface uses Web Service technology. |
